4. Duties and Responsibilities : 

Software 

o Manage software products including but not limited to incorporating new version releases and customization of the product 

o Manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM o Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies 

o Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit MEPF and C&S and BIM. o Stay informed on other BIM related software and how they work with Revit o Installation and support of related BIM software

Standards 

o Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement 

o Creation and maintenance of the software Template files to assure standards o Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions

o  Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity 

o  Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of drawings produced

• Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards

• Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Revit Specialist to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of the MEPF and C&S Revit model

Management:

• Create written technology evaluations and budgets for future technology adoption that aligns with the corporate goals
• Chair the company’s BIM committee

• Report on the company’s current and projected state in regards to BIM implementation

• Create Upgrade and Deployment strategies for the BIM implementation effort

• Assess: evaluate the firms current workflow, strategies, budgets, projects, staffing, etc.

• Plan: create a plan for implementation. Who are the team members, what is the project, what are the goals, etc.

• Solve; Execute the plan, install the software, get templates created, get training, do the pilot project, etc.

• Confirm: Be able to demonstrate the company’s BIM success by evaluating goals that were established in the Assess Phase

Support: 

• provide hardware and network support as it relates to BIM production

• Support the BIM technology needs of our satellite offices

• Troubleshoot problems.

• Liaison with national vendors.

• Liaison with corporate technology support staff.

• Liaison with software developer support staff and other support channels.

Training

• Internal Training: Provide Revit MEPF and C&S Fundamental and Intermediate training to staff

o Conduct internal continuing education Revit MEPF and C&S training sessions. o Provide technical orientation to New Hires regarding BIM tools

o  Test new hires skills in BIM

o  Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training

o Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM; bringing back learning and disseminating the information to appropriate teams

Project Interface:

• support project standards coordination with customers

• Assist on project work – modeling and detailing

• Assist project teams in BIM project setup.

• Create Revit families in response to project need

• Help resolve BIM design issues

• Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team

• Coordinate needed hardware upgrades with IT Communicate with subcontractors to receive, coordinate and update all electronic models

• Linking BIM to the project Construction Administration Phase for submittals, construction models, shop drawings and schedules

Marketing of BIM services:

• Web, literature, interviews, presenting at relevant client focused conferences

• Future BIM/Revit MEPF and C&S Industry Initiatives and Developments

• Identify trends and business opportunities relating to BIM Evaluate and make recommendations regarding BIM software

Liaison for BIM process with:

• Future planning for potential uses of BIM

o Sustainable Design o Planning

o  3D Renderings

o Facilities Management o Cost Estimating

o Specification Management o Integrated Project Delivery

o Digital Prototyping and Digital Fabrication o Modularization

Involvement with Industry Organizations

5. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements 

Engineering background, can be HVAC/ ELEC or PLUMBING but preferable HVAC Proficient at REVIT and BIM 360 

Proficient at Naviswork (viewing and clash detection software) Natural interests in and passion about softwares 

Good at excel is an advantage 

Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly Good organizational skills

Top Solvent Company Limited, the marketing arm of Thai Oil Public Company Limited, has successful organized the grand opening of its solvent terminal in Haiphong on April 25, 2019. The new Thai investment of VND 300 billion is in DEEP C Haiphong I, a part of DEEP C Industrial Complex, Haiphong City.

The Haiphong terminal of Top Solvent, covering 27,000 sq.m was built to provide high-capacity solvents and chemicals storage tanks with the first phase capacity reaching 50,000 tons per year and later 200,000 tons per year. The project is expected to support economic growth of northern Vietnam in general and Haiphong in particular.

Together with a troop of facilities including product storage tanks, drum and Intermediate Bulk Container filling station, truck loading gantry, the terminal stands out as one of solvent terminals with highest-standard in the North of Vietnam.

Bruno Jaspaert, General Director, DEEP C Industrial Zones is upbeat about the Thai FDI scenarios in northern Vietnam. “Participation of Thai Oil in the north proves the great potential of the region in economic growth and hence energy demand. This facility surely provides better alternatives and cost competitiveness for manufacturers sourcing chemicals in northern Vietnam.”

The new investment of Thai people is just one example demonstrating Thailand’s interest in the Vietnamese market. “With this remarkable trend, combined with abundant labor, increasing purchasing power, good infrastructure, strategic location and benefits from many FTAs, Vietnam is the largest investment destination for the Thai private sector, both current and new,” Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam confirmed.

As of March 2019, Thailand had been the 9th largest investor in Vietnam, with total investments of US$10.4 billion, not including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and joint ventures, which would certainly double the total amount of Thai investment.

Therefore, the Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam believes that the momentum in Thailand-Vietnam relations will continue to rise. The Strengthened Strategic Partnership between the two countries will be further substantiated, especially through the economic relations.

A promising destination

A report on new-generation FDI attraction by the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group, showed that Vietnam is growing attractive to international investors, especially those wanting to produce goods for export.

Haiphong obviously is one of the provinces and cities leveraging from the new wave of FDI. Last year, it ranked 6^th among the most attractive destinations for FDI with more than 110 new projects, worth equivalent to US$724 million. The northern city is outstanding among its neighbors thanks to well-developed infrastructure, abundant and high-skilled workforce, and strategic location.

TOP Solvent Vietnam is the pioneer company importing solvents and chemical products into Vietnam by sea freight. This is the 67th project inaugurated in DEEP C Haiphong I Industrial Zone, a part of DEEP C Industrial Complex managed by Belgium group Rent-A-Port. So far DEEP C Haiphong I has attracted 76 projects out of over 100 projects within DEEP C Complex.
